Building a sheet metal overflow drain pan for a dishwasher

Couple of videos on how to build a sheet metal overflow/drain catch pan for a dishwasher, but can be used for any number of appliances, such as a Washer/Dryer or under an Air Conditioner Coil/ Air Handler. This pan doesn’t drain anywhere just being used to warn if there is an overflow and that will trigger an audio alarm.

Wiring a generator transfer switch to a gas furnace

I have a series of videos I’ll be uploading over the course of the next week regarding the wiring and install of the Heezy HTS15 transfer switch.

Today the video is how to wire a generator transfer switch to a gas furnace. If you have done any electrical work before, this video might be a little slow and seem simple. It’s over 30 minutes long and I’ve tried going into detail about everything you need to know about wiring a generator transfer switch to a gas furnace.

Single circuit generator transfer switch

Generator Transfer Switch Alt Single Circuit Furnace Pump BoilerThrough much interest from fans on my Youtube channel. I had an overwhelming amount of people asking me about transfer switches and single circuit versions good for powering a single piece of equipment like a gas furnace.

I have made several of these over the years, but I have never made them available for sale commercially. I did sell a few prototypes over the last 6 months but after little debate I decided to go all in and really make something special.

Emergency Manual Fuel Door Release For VW Jetta MK5

fuelrelease

fuelreleaseI’m in the process of replacing the Drivers Door Window Motor, which happens to contain the control system for the trunk and fuel door release. As I have a week before it gets here I thought I would seek out how to manually open the fuel door. Searching online led to various ways to do it, with no clear knowledge. On the older VW Jetta’s there was a manual way to open it in the trunk. On our 2006.5 Jetta TDI there isn’t.

Making A Simple Drywall Access Panel

panel

panel  So I just wanted to add a quick video post on making a Access Panel from Drywall. We have radiant in floor heat and the distribution manifold has been open for a few years. With having young kids around now I had to get this fixed. I made a simple access panel from 1/2″ Drywall.

I had a pre-cut piece of leftover drywall  that I had to trim about 3/4″ off on one side. I then cut the bottom trim board and attached that. I then cut the layover trim pieces at a 45 degree angle and attached that to the panel. Unfortunately the memory card in the camera failed during the last few scenes but I still felt some of the tricks I used were worth sharing. If you have any questions let me know.
